
PETALING JAYA: Six-term Jepak assemblyman Talib Zulpilip died today.
Talib, a former minister in the Sarawak Chief Minister’s Office (Integrity and Ombudsman), was 72.
His private secretary, Ayu Sulaiman confirmed his death, stating that Talib was admitted to the hospital yesterday and died of complications to his kidneys.
“His funeral rites will be held at the Samariang Muslim Cemetery Complex tonight,” she told Bernama.
Talib secured the Jepak state seat during the 2021 Sarawak state elections with a majority of 4,243 votes.
