
Jalaluddin, the Pertang assemblyman, is among the four Umno representatives in the state executive council.
The 10 exco members took their oaths of office before the Yang di-Pertuan Besar, Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir, at Istana Seri Menanti in Kuala Pilah today.
In the Aug 12 state election, Pakatan Harapan won 17 seats, Barisan Nasional 14, and Perikatan Nasional five.
DAP and BN have four representatives each in the exco, with PKR having two.
The four DAP exco members – Teo Kok Seong (Bahau), J Arul Kumar (Nilai), Nicole Tan (Bukit Kepayang) and S Veerapan (Repah) – also served in the previous state government.
Besides Jalaluddin, the other BN representatives are Ismail Lasim (Senaling), Mustapha Nagoor (Palong) and Faizal Ramli (Linggi).
PKR is also represented by Noorzunita Begum Abdullah (Pilah) and Tengku Zamrah Sulaiman (Ampangan).
Mustapha, Faizal, Noorzunita and Tengku Zamrah are the four new faces in the state government.
The portfolios of the exco members have not been announced yet.
