PETALING JAYA:
Bersatu has sacked its former Jerlun division chief Abdul Ramli for contesting as an independent candidate in the Kota Siputeh seat in Kedah.

“We will not hesitate to act against any member seeking to sabotage Perikatan Nasional candidates in the state elections,” said Bersatu secretary-general Hamzah Zainudin in a statement.

The battle for Kota Siputeh will see a three-cornered fight between Abdul, PN’s Ashraf Mustaqim Badrul Munir and Pakatan Harapan’s Dr Salmee Said.

Hamzah said prior to this, Bersatu also sacked a member from the Hulu Selangor division and suspended two others for three years for acts of sabotage.

He reminded all members to continue working towards ensuring PN’s victory in the state elections.
