Yesterday, the PAS man declined Rafizi’s invitation, saying he was more inclined to take part in a discussion rather than a debate. He added that it would be better to work towards serving the people and resolving the issues they face.
Today, Syahir decided to accept Rafizi’s invitation to the debate, which will be held on Aug 9.
“I convey my thanks (to Syahir). By debating as political parties, we have the opportunity to inform the people of our plans and what we can offer them,” Rafizi said in a Twitter post.
Rafizi, who is also the economy minister, had challenged Syahir to a debate after PN election director Sanusi Nor and PN information chief Azmin Ali spurned the offer.
Syahir initially said he would wait for an official invite from Rafizi before deciding on the matter.
