Pakatan Harapan components PKR and Amanah have already named their candidates for the elections in all six states.
The party has retained most of its former Selangor assemblymen who won in the 14th general election (GE14) in 2018. However, there are six fresh faces contesting this time around.
The most notable omission from the list of candidates is Selangor DAP deputy chairman Ean Yong Hian Wah, who has been Seri Kembangan assemblyman since 2008.
A party source informed FMT earlier this month that Ean Yong would be dropped and will be replaced by a fresh face, with former Balakong assemblyman Wong Siew Ki among the candidates being considered to replace him. That has been confirmed with today’s announcement.
The distribution of the 56 seats in Selangor among parties in the unity government is as follows – PKR (20), DAP (15), Umno (12) and Amanah (9).
The DAP candidates contesting in Selangor are:
- Sekinchan – Ng Suee Lim
- Kuala Kubu Bharu – Lee Kee Hiong
- Teratai – Yew Jia Haur
- Balakong – Ong Chun Wei
- Seri Kembangan – Wong Siew Ki
- Kinrara – Ng Sze Han
- Subang Jaya – Michelle Ng
- Bukit Gasing – Rajiv Rishyakaran
- Kampung Tunku – Lim Yi Wei
- Bandar Utama – Jamaliah Jamaluddin
