PETALING JAYA: Domestic trade and cost of living minister Salahuddin Ayub has suffered a brain haemorrhage and is currently undergoing surgery at a hospital in Alor Setar, Kedah.
His press secretary updated the media this morning on the Amanah leader’s condition after he fell violently ill and was rushed to the hospital at about 10.15pm last night.
The minister’s office said he had experienced nausea and vomiting last night before he was admitted to Hospital Sultanah Bahiyah in Alor Setar.
He was supposed to attend an event last night in Kedah.
“The minister’s office will provide updates on his health from time to time,” it said in a statement published at 1am.
