
In a statement, MACC said two inspectors, aged 37 and 38, and a corporal, 43, were arrested with a 37-year-old man this evening after giving their statements at its office here today.
On Tuesday, the graft busters arrested the district police chief over allegations he received bribes amounting to more than RM1 million from 2017 to 2022. He allegedly received between RM20,000 to RM50,000 in bribes every month.
The bribes were believed to help “protect” entertainment and massage centres in the district.
Separately, Pahang MACC said two immigration officers were arrested over allegations they accepted bribes from massage centre owners to speed up renewal of work permits for their foreign workers.
Pahang MACC director Hairuzam Amin confirmed the arrests but declined to comment further.
