Lawyer Yusfarizal Yussoff, representing Bersatu vice-president Radzi Jidin, confirmed the hearing date.
Putrajaya Umno division vice-chief Ahmad Faisal Abdul Karim had filed the election petition for his constituency, while Azmi Mahmood, a representative for BN candidate Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah filed the petition for Gua Musang.
Radzi, who contested under the Perikatan Nasional (PN) banner, won Putrajaya, defeating four-term incumbent Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor (BN) by a majority vote of 2,310 votes in a six-horse race in GE15 last November.
Meanwhile, PN candidate Azizi Abu Naim won Gua Musang with 21,826 votes, defeating Tengku Razaleigh by a slim majority of just 163 votes.
On March 10, the Kuala Lumpur High Court said Faisal failed to prove that corrupt practices were committed by either Radzi or his agent, and thus struck out the petition.
Meanwhile, on Feb 26, Kota Bahru High Court struck out Azmi’s petition, ruling that the filing was not made within the permitted time frame of 28 days.
In their petitions, Faisal is accusing Radzi of bribing voters with a RM150 cash payment each, while Azmi wants the Gua Musang result declared null and void, and for a by-election to be called.
