
The woman, aged 33, was slapped with two charges under Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017, read with Section 16(1) of the same Act, for physical assault of her 14- and 12-year-old sons by touching their body parts for a sexual purpose.
She faces another charge of physical assault on her 14-year-old son under Section 14(b) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017, read with Section 16(1) of the same Act, for making him touch a part of her body for a sexual purpose.
If convicted, she faces a maximum jail term of 25 years for each of the three charges.
She is alleged to have committed the offences at a house at Alam Perdana in Puncak Alam, Kuala Selangor, in November last year.
The mother is also facing a fourth charge under Section 5 of the same Act for making and producing child pornography involving her 14-year-old son.
She allegedly committed the crime at a hotel in Sungai Buloh, Selangor, between Feb 17 and 18, 2022. If convicted, she faces a jail term of up to 30 years.
Meanwhile, a tow truck operator, believed to be in a relationship with her, was also charged under Section 14(a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017 for physical assault of the woman’s 14-year-old daughter for a sexual purpose.
It was alleged that Haddad Radhi, 22, committed the crime at the same hotel between Feb 17 and 18, 2022.
If convicted, he faces a maximum jail term of 20 years and may also be subject to whipping.
Deputy public prosecutor Nur Ayuni Jamri and Nurul Izzati Mohamad prosecuted.
The prosecutors urged the court to deny the accused bail as the offences they were charged with were of a serious nature and involved children.
Izzati also claimed that Haddad may disturb them if released on bail.
Lawyer Azali Ibrahim represented Haddad while the mother was unrepresented.
The court allowed bail of RM15,000 in one surety for Haddad, who was ordered to report to the nearest police station every month until disposal of the case. He is also barred from having any interaction with the victims.
No bail was granted to the mother.
The court fixed the case for mention on June 26 pending her appointment of a lawyer.
