PETALING JAYA: A 54-year-old man was fined RM100 after he pleaded guilty to exposing his genitals at a shopping centre in Cheras.
Cheras police chief Zam Halim Jamaluddin said the man was arrested on Monday afternoon after committing the lewd act at a shopping centre along Jalan Cheras.
The man was charged under Section 14 of the Minor Offences Act 1955 yesterday and pleaded guilty.
He would have been sentenced to 10 days in jail had he not paid the RM100 fine, the maximum under the Act.
