When asked about the matter by reporters after officiating the soft launch of the National Training Week 2023 in Putrajaya, he replied: “No, no. There was no (raid).”

Sivakumar reiterated that he will give the anti-graft agency his full cooperation in its investigation.

Earlier, Utusan Malaysia and Sinar Harian reported that Sivakumar’s house was raided by the MACC right after the minister gave his statement to the graft busters yesterday.

Quoting sources, Utusan reported that the minister had been questioned for over nine hours.

MACC chief commissioner Azam Baki had also confirmed that the anti-graft agency had taken Sivakumar’s statement yesterday following the arrests of a few of his officers in connection with a case involving the recruitment of foreign workers.

Sivakumar had said he was ready to cooperate with the authorities over the matter and urged the public not to make any speculations about the arrests. He said the arrests were part of the investigation process once a complaint was lodged with MACC.

The commission recently arrested two of Sivakumar’s senior officers in connection with matters involving the recruitment of foreign workers.

Sivakumar’s private secretary was arrested on Friday in an investigation into the approval of migrant worker quotas.
