SHAH ALAM:
All 22 Bersatu divisions in Selangor will lodge police reports against Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and his deputy, Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, over claims they had made against party president Muhyiddin Yassin.

Selangor Bersatu chairman Abdul Rashid Asari alleged that Anwar, Zahid and their allies were trying to bring down Perikatan Nasional (PN) and Bersatu to cripple them in the lead up to the state elections.

“This includes freezing Bersatu’s accounts and taking our leaders to court,” he told reporters after lodging a report at the Shah Alam district police headquarters today.

He also alleged that the leaders had “pre-empted” the authorities and “kept changing” the amount that Muhyiddin was alleged to have misappropriated.

“Muhyiddin was accused of misappropriating RM600 billion when he was the prime minister, which then changed to RM530 billion, then RM92.5 billion, then RM4.5 billion and, eventually, RM300 million,” he alleged.

“As the PM, (Anwar) has to be careful when making statements. He should have the facts first because people will listen to him.”

Rashid said the police reports would be lodged separately by the Bersatu division chiefs in Selangor.
