Power supply problem disrupts services on LRT Kelana Jaya line

Lifts, escalators and lights at five underground stations between Ampang Park and Masjid Jamek were unable to function.

Prasarana says the disruption was caused by an electrical problem that began at 7.50pm.
PETALING JAYA:
The Kelana Jaya Light Rail Transit (LRT) line is experiencing a disruption tonight due to a “power supply problem” in five stations.

The disruption, which started at 7.50pm, saw lifts, escalators and lights at five underground stations between Ampang Park and Masjid Jamek  unable to function.

“We are working to identify the cause of the problem,” said the line’s operator, Prasarana.

It said an alternative rail line had been activated, with all trains from Putra Heights redirected to the LRT Pasar Seni station.

Meanwhile, trains coming from Gombak had been redirected to the LRT Damai station.

Apologising for any inconvenience caused, Prasarana said it will provide updates through RapidKL’s social media platforms and at the stations involved.
