In the show-cause letter sent to him, there were “only three claims against me, not 16”, he said in an interview with Sinar Harian.
On Saturday, FMT reported that Umno sacked Noh, who is the former Selangor Umno chief, over multiple acts of sabotage that had been proven.
Newly appointed Selangor Umno chief Megat Zulkarnain Omardin said the party’s disciplinary board had investigated a total of 16 claims made against Noh for acting against the party’s interests, including during the 15th general election.
Noh said Megat may have “received the wrong information”.
“I have a legal background and I’ve been to court. We know that you can’t simply add on accusations. Only three claims were made against me,” he said.
Noh claimed that he was unfairly sacked without being given the opportunity to be heard.
“I was supposed to appear before the party’s disciplinary board at 2.30pm today,” he said.
He said it would be futile to file an appeal as itwould be referred to the same decision-makers.
“Who can I appeal to? The Umno Supreme Council has already made the decision.
“It would be different if the decision was made by the disciplinary board, then there would be an avenue for appeal.
“In this case, the matter would be referred to the same entity (which decided to sack me),” he said.
The former Tanjong Karang MP also confirmed he had received offers from other parties to join them, but said he wanted to take a break and observe political developments before making a decision.
On Friday, Umno secretary-general Ahmad Maslan confirmed that Noh had been sacked, along with former Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin.
Former Umno vice-president and Sembrong MP Hishammuddin Hussein, former information chief Shahril Hamdan, former Jempol MP Salim Sharif and Tebrau Umno leader Maulizan Bujang were suspended for six years.
Noh had told reporters he had also been suspended for six years but requested to be sacked instead, adding that Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi later agreed to this.
