PETALING JAYA: Former foreign minister Anifah Aman has been appointed a special adviser to Sabah chief minister Hajiji Noor on international trade and relations.
The appointment takes effect immediately.
In a statement, Hajiji said he was confident Anifah would be able to foster good relations with foreign countries and investors given his vast experience in the field.
This was especially so with the investor-friendly approach the state government was taking.
Anifah was the foreign minister from 2009 to 2018.
He also served as a deputy primary industries minister from 1999 to 2004.
