King presents letters of appointment to 21 judges

Leading the list are the new Court of Appeal president Abang Iskandar Abang Hashim and Chief Judge of Malaya Zabidin Diah.

The Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah, presented letters of appointment to 21 judges in a ceremony at Istana Negara today.

The Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah, has presented letters of appointment to 21 judges in a ceremony at Istana Negara here.

Leading the list was new Court of Appeal president Abang Iskandar Abang Hashim, followed by Chief Judge of Malaya Zabidin Diah, Chief Judge of Sabah and Sarawak Abdul Rahman Sebli and Federal Court judge Nordin Hassan.

Also receiving their letters of appointment as Court of Appeal judges were Justices Azman Abdullah, Azimah Omar, Lim Chong Fong, Collin Lawrence Sequerah, Zaini Mazlan and Wong Kian Kheong.

Eleven judges appointed to the High Court were Justices Norsharidah Awang, Tee Geok Hock, Zaleha Rose Pandin, Alice Loke, Azhar Abdul Hamid, Arik Sanusi Yeop Johari, G Bhupindar Singh, Mahazan Mat Taib, Ahmad Murad Abdul Aziz, Liza Chan and Wan Amin Wan Yahya.

The ceremony was also attended by Raja Permaisuri Agong Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah, law and institutional reform minister Azalina Othman Said and Chief Justice Tengku Maimun Tuan Mat.
