Kitingan told reporters outside Istana Seri Kinabalu that Anwar had called Hajiji last night to convey this to the chief minister.
“(The new Cabinet) is more complete. At this moment, this configuration is very good,” said the Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku (STAR) president.
Earlier, Sabah Umno chief Bung Moktar Radin claimed that Hajiji’s new Cabinet was not the unity state government that Anwar wanted to see.
Bung said the two Umno assemblymen who were included in the state Cabinet did not represent the party and were not recognised by Sabah Umno.
He was referring to newly appointed deputy chief minister and works minister Shahelmey Yahya, and community development and people’s wellbeing minister James Ratib.
Shahelmey had taken over both portfolios from Bung in the Cabinet reshuffle.
