In a circular, JPA deputy director-general (development) Zulkapli Mohamed said civil servants in management and professional groups as well as those in support groups Grade 56 and lower would receive the aid.

Personal drivers of members of the administration, judges and judicial commissioners as well as employees under the MyStep programme will also get this aid.

Zulkapli added that financial aid would also be given to pensioners and veterans who did not receive any pension. These groups would receive RM350 each.

Those who are part of the top management are not eligible for this additional allowance.

Those who have been demoted or who have sent in their resignations to take effect between Jan 1 and 17 of next year are also not eligible.

Zulkapli said the payment would be made starting from Jan 17, 2023.

“The incentive is extended to all state public service departments, statutory bodies and to local councils.”
