In a Facebook post, he said party members found to have joined the NGO would have their membership suspended and eventually revoked.
Zuraida Kamaruddin, who was sacked from PBM yesterday, joined the NGO founded by former Umno leader Annuar Musa on Dec 14.
Sng also said the party supported the unity government and Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. PBM, he said, was aligned to components in the current government and this was something members need to fully comprehend.
“These parties (which form the current government) are PBM’s new allies and the government’s position is the party’s direction.”
Sng, who is Julau MP, also said the party would focus on defending the parliamentary seat and three state seats in Selangor (Sementa and Lembah Jaya) and Sabah (Segama) and that the party would collaborate with its allies in forging an electoral pact.
The party will explore the idea of joining a coalition after six months. “Nonetheless, discussions are ongoing.”
Sng added that he would be travelling throughout the country in January to meet with party leaders to discuss and explain the party’s future direction, as well as to appoint new state chiefs where necessary.
“We will cultivate new leaders from within our ranks. Those who are unhappy to remain, are welcome to leave.”
Last night, PBM sacked Zuraida and 10 others after they failed to respond to show cause letters issued earlier this month.
The sacking came in the wake of a spat between Sng and the party’s 11 Supreme Council members who were suspended in October for alleged indiscipline.
