“There are some problems that can be solved within a month, while there are some related to legislation that I don’t think can be solved within a month,” he was quoted as saying by Dayak Daily.

“Deputy prime minister Fadillah Yusof has taken note of this.”

Yesterday, Fadillah said Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim gave him one month to settle the unresolved issues and demands by Sabah and Sarawak related to MA63.

Having returned to Kuching with three other federal ministers, Fadillah added that his priority was to discuss the matter at the state government level.

Abang Johari also said that he has discussed issues pertaining to the MA63 during his meeting with Fadillah and the other ministers yesterday.

“I even had a discussion with Anwar about this matter several days ago where he said he will pay attention to the MA63 problem as well as the mechanism in developing federal projects in Sarawak with regards to the establishment of a trust fund,” he said.

“With the mechanism, I am confident that the bureaucratic process will not be difficult. What is important will be empowerment or devolution of power (to Sarawak),” he added.
