As of 11.15pm, unofficial results show Mahathir, the Pejuang chairman, trailing in Langkawi, where Perikatan Nasional candidate Suhaimi Abdullah is ahead, after having polled 10,871 votes.
Mukhriz, who is Pejuang president, is behind in Jerlun, where unofficial results show that PN’s Abd Ghani Ahmad is ahead, having secured 1,388 votes.
