Soo Yeh Hong, the agent for BN’s Bayan Baru candidate Saw Yee Fung, said PH had violated the Election Offences Act 1954 by setting up these booths on polling day.
In a statement, Soo urged the authorities to investigate PH over the alleged violation outside “many” polling centres within the constituency, providing video evidence.

Under the law, all parties are required to cease campaigning, not set up booths or wear any clothing or anything bearing party livery 50m from any polling centre.
Those caught doing so face a maximum one-year jail term and a fine not exceeding RM5,000 or both upon conviction.
Police have been contacted for comment.
