PETALING JAYA:
Commuters will be able to enjoy free rides on all public transport services under RapidKL, Rapid Penang and Rapid Kuantan throughout polling day tomorrow, Prasarana Malaysia Bhd announced.

This includes Rapid Bus, monorail, MRT, BRT and LRT services.

“This will make it easier for Malaysians to exercise their right as citizens to vote,” Prasarana said in a statement.

My50 pass holders may use the services as usual while Touch ‘n Go card users will be able to travel without the fare being debited from their cards.

Other commuters who wish to use tokens on the MRT, LRT, monorail or BRT lines will be required to visit the customer service office at any station to obtain a special one-way token.

As for Rapid Bus services in Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Kuantan, commuters may board the bus without scanning their cards.

On Nov 13, Prasarana said it would compensate commuters by offering free rides until Nov 20 after service disruptions on the Kelana Jaya LRT line since last week.
