MIC president in 7-cornered-fight for Sungai Siput

PETALING JAYA:
MIC president SA Vigneswaran is one of seven contenders for the Sungai Siput parliamentary seat in Perak in the general election (GE15).

He will be facing S Kesavan of Pakatan Harapan, who won the seat in the last general election (GE14).

The other candidates are G Irudianathan of Perikatan Nasional (PN), Ahmad Fauzi Mohd Jaafar of Pejuang and three independents – housewife R Indrani, former Sungai Siput PN information chief Baharudin Kamarudin and businessman N Rajah.

In GE14, Kesavan defeated candidates from BN, PAS and Parti Sosialis Malaysia (PSM) to win the seat.
