According to Berita Harian, Azwan, also known as Diva AA, confirmed that he would be standing in Gombak, saying he would be live streaming from the nomination centre tomorrow.

He also said he was nervous about meeting Azmin tomorrow, since he last saw the Bersatu Supreme Council member in 2018, when they clashed in the polls for the Bukit Antarabangsa state seat.

“After so long, I will definitely be seeing Azmin tomorrow,” he said, claiming that various quarters had called for him to run for the Gombak seat.

Azmin will be seeking to defend his Gombak seat for a fourth term. He had won the seat in the last three general elections as a PKR member.

Aside from Azwan, Azmin will also be challenged by PKR vice-president Amirudin Shari and Umno’s Megat Zulkarnain Omardin.

During the 2018 election, Azmin defended his Gombak seat with a 48,721-vote majority.

He also defended his Bukit Antarabangsa state seat with a 25,512-vote majority. Azwan had managed to garner 90 votes then.
