The unscheduled water cut hit several areas in Pasir Gudang on Friday. Despite the round-the-clock repair works, water supply has yet to be fully restored.
The problem was compounded by a landslide in the area, which made it tough for the workers at the site.
The state water authority, Ranhill SAJ Sdn Bhd, is unable to say when supply will be fully restored.

Ranhill SAJ said about 62,000 households of the 100,000 affected by the cuts are still without supply, with the company despatching water tankers to the affected areas from time to time.
One netizen questioned whether Ranhill SAJ had a proper contingency plan to help consumers as not all areas were getting water from tankers.
“Some of us are facing untold hardship, including not being able to go to work. The tanker distribution system is lopsided. Some of us have not seen any tankers yet.”
Air Selangor also sent water tankers to help the residents.
This morning, Johor menteri besar Onn Hafiz Ghazi visited the repair site to find out the reason for the delay. He told the authorities to use all government assets available to resolve the problem as soon as possible.

“There should be no more excuses. Distribution of static water tanks should be expanded,” he told the officials.
The Pasir Gudang land office is assisting consumers by installing static tanks at strategic locations in the district, with Ranhill SAJ tankers filling them up regularly.
Yesterday, netizens sought the help of the Johor crown prince Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim, popularly known as TMJ, who responded by saying that he had contacted all relevant authorities to help the consumers and monitor the situation closely.
