“We regard all these offers as well as the PH manifesto as our ‘holy book’ because it is our promise to the people,” PH Youth chief Dr Kelvin Yii said at the launch of the manifesto here.
He said the youth wing’s manifesto, which will be included in PH’s main manifesto, contains 26 key issues for youths covering five sectors, namely education, health, entrepreneurship, environment, and socioeconomic status.
Yii said among them is the promise to repeal the Universities and University Colleges Act (AUKU) 1971 to give autonomy to university administrations in matters of fair governance in running facilities and maintenance of the university.
Other offers include “Kembara Siswa”, a scheme where the return airfare for flights between Sabah or Sarawak and the peninsula is fixed at RM199, but subject to a limit of two trips per year for each student.
Yii said the manifesto known as the “Harapan Youth Offer” was part of the main PH manifesto which will be launched this Wednesday.
