In a Facebook post, he said the component parties had reached an agreement on the matter.
“Let’s all pray that this election will not be disrupted by floods – which is already happening (in some parts of the nation) – or any other incident that would make it difficult for people to vote,” he said.
Muhyiddin reiterated that PN would be the best choice for voters.
The PN chairman’s statement comes in the wake of PAS leaders having stated the party’s intention of contesting the election under their own logo.
At the PAS assembly in September, delegates from Kelantan, Terengganu, Kedah and Selangor demanded that PAS candidates in these four states use the party’s distinctive “moon” symbol for the elections.
PAS election director Sanusi Md Nor also claimed many voters and party supporters were “allergic” to PN’s blue party colour, which was viewed as being too similar to that of Barisan Nasional.
Muhyiddin had announced in July that PN would use a new logo to avoid confusion with BN’s logo. He also hoped that PN component parties would agree to a common logo for GE15.
PN comprises Bersatu, PAS, Gerakan, as well as the Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) and Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku (STAR), which are also members of Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS), the ruling coalition in the state.
GRS candidates will also contest the elections on a common logo.
