PKR information chief Fahmi Fadzil said the goal of the roadshow was to strengthen the party at the state and division levels, particularly in areas like Gombak and Ampang.
Fahmi said the first roadshow will be held in Gombak on Sunday from 5pm to midnight at the Taman Melawati Ramadan bazaar site. Former PKR deputy president Azmin Ali is the Gombak MP.
“We will focus on parliamentary constituencies (whose MPs) have betrayed the party. The (roadshow’s) schedule will be announced later, but we will start in Gombak on Sunday,” he told a press conference.
The Lembah Pantai MP said they were expecting about 3,000 people to attend Sunday’s roadshow, adding they will not only be PKR members but also the general public.
He said the roadshow, which will move on to every state in the nation, will give PKR the chance to introduce its new leadership to voters, in preparation for the next general election (GE15).
He said PKR president Anwar Ibrahim, deputy president Rafizi Ramli and the new party vice-presidents will attend these roadshows.
