Woman fights back in viral video of KL snatch theft

Police have arrested two men on suspicion of a snatch theft in Kuala Lumpur in a video that has gone viral on social media.

The incident, caught on CCTV and uploaded to Twitter, showed a woman fighting back after her bag was snatched along Jalan Ampang.

Dang Wangi district police chief Noor Dellhan Yahaya said they received a report at about 9.40pm on Monday.

In a statement, he said the two suspects comprised a Malaysian, aged 32, and a foreigner, aged 35.

He said the police also seized a motorcycle, two helmets and a keychain.

Both individuals have been remanded for five days to assist with investigations.
