PETALING JAYA:
Scheduled water cuts have begun in 188 areas in Hulu Selangor after upgrading and maintenance works at the Sungai Rasa water treatment plant began at 9am.

Air Selangor said the upgrading and maintenance works are expected to be completed by 9pm tomorrow, with water supply in all the areas fully restored by 1am on Thursday.

It said water tankers have been mobilised to the affected areas, prioritising critical premises like hospitals, clinics, dialysis centres and funeral parlours.

“The duration of the water supply disruption and recovery in the affected areas will vary depending on the distance of the consumers’ premises and the water pressure at the distribution system,” it said in a statement.

Air Selangor said commercial customers may purchase treated water at its customer service counters in the Petaling and Gombak districts.

“Commercial customers can use their own water tankers at the local water filling station made available in Batu Caves and Damai Utama, Puchong,” it said.

The affected areas may be found here.
