At a press conference organised by a coalition against the controversial elevated highway project, Liu said he fully understood the concerns raised by the group as he was a PJ resident too.
“I will certainly pass the memorandum to the PH presidential council and will personally hand it to Anwar,” he said.
Liu added that the concerns over the PJD Link will be discussed in the upcoming Selangor state assembly meeting, which is scheduled to take place from July 27 to Aug 5.

“I will make use of that platform and opportunity to say no to the PJD Link,” he said.
The Sungai Pelek assemblyman said he was not opposed to the concept of elevated highways, as long as it was not over residential areas.
He also said he had been opposed to the project since its previous iteration, the defunct Kinrara-Damansara Expressway (Kidex) when he was a Selangor executive council member.
“We are saying no to Kidex and PJD Link. It’s (PJD Link) just a rebrand (of Kidex)”
Liu also reiterated a previous joint statement rejecting the PJD Link, signed by Selangor menteri besar Amirudin Shari, DAP deputy chairman Gobind Singh Deo and state infrastructure and agriculture exco Izham Hashim.
“As far as I’m concerned that statement still stands.”
