Police probe commotion at PKR division meeting

This follows a claim that an off-duty policeman barged into the division office to speak to several party leaders.

A PKR member lodged a report on the incident which took place after the Sungai Buloh division held its first leadership meeting.
PETALING JAYA:
Police are investigating an incident at a PKR division meeting in Kota Damansara last night which reportedly involved an off-duty policeman.

“We received a police report from a committee member who attended the meeting last night as he was upset with the incident,” Petaling Jaya police chief Fakhrudin Abdul Hamid told FMT.

He was commenting on a Malaysiakini report about an incident that happened right after the Sungai Buloh PKR division adjourned its first leadership meeting.

The meeting involved the division’s new office-bearers who won in the recent PKR elections.

According to a source, there was a commotion at 9.40pm when an off-duty police officer barged into the meeting room without permission.

The officer allegedly tried to force several committee members to follow him for a discussion downstairs.
