PETALING JAYA:
Police are on the hunt for a man who is believed to have flashed at a female student near a secondary school in Putrajaya yesterday.

Putrajaya police chief A Asmadi Abdul Aziz said two Form 3 students from a school in Precinct 9(2) had lodged separate reports on the incident.

He said the incident took place at a public car park in front of the school.

“The victim claimed she was approached by a young man who was in a grey Proton Persona,” he said, according to Harian Metro.

He said the suspect asked the student something before unzipping his pants and flashing his genitals at her.

Asmadi said the frightened student immediately fled, but managed to take a picture and record the car’s number plate.

“Police are tracking down the suspect and the case is being investigated under Section 15 (a) of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017,” he said.

This provision of the Act carries a maximum jail term of 20 years and whipping upon conviction.
