Party president Dominic Lau said he had received the list of candidates from the party’s state liaison chairmen on seats to be contested.
“I have already instructed the state chairmen to hold a meeting as soon as possible with the respective state Perikatan Nasional (PN) chairmen to reach a consensus and a decision that will bring success,” he said at a press conference, Berita Harian reported.
Gerakan, which was previously a Barisan Nasional coalition member, joined PN in February last year.
Lau also said Gerakan will only be targeting seats that it believed it had a high chance of winning.
In the previous general election in 2018, Gerakan did not manage to win any of the seats it contested.
