King, Queen praise Janusha for outstanding achievement

They hope she and other RMN personnel will be motivated to continue to achieve further success in the military field.

KUALA LUMPUR:
Navy senior cadet officer B Janusha, the first Malaysian woman to graduate from the US Naval Academy, received royal congratulations today from the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah, and the Raja Permaisuri Agong, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah.

An Istana Negara statement said the royal couple hoped that her outstanding achievement would motivate Janusha and other personnel of the Royal Malaysian Navy (RMN) to continue to work hard and achieve success in the military field.

Janusha, 23, a native of Kuala Lipis, Pahang, is the first Malaysian woman to be admitted to the prestigious US military academy.

She began her four-year stint at the US academy in Annapolis in 2018 along with 1,085 trainees from the US and 14 from overseas.

The passing out parade took place before US President Joe Biden, the top leadership of the US Navy and diplomats of various countries.
