In a veiled jab at Farhash Wafa Salvador Rizal Mubarak, Selangor PKR chief Amirudin Shari said this included those who had questioned the results for the post of Gombak division chief.
The former aide to Anwar Ibrahim had gone up against Amirudin for the post, which the latter won after garnering 1,858 votes. Farhash only secured 1,215 votes.
Farhash subsequently demanded a forensic audit into the “nonsensical results”, citing discrepancies between the number of ballots tallied and that of voters.
Today, Amirudin challenged those making claims of irregularities to prove them, Berita Harian reported.
“Don’t try to prove it with propaganda,” he was quoted as saying, adding that the committee should verify such claims.
Last week, Farhash claimed that some 26,000 votes were “missing”, especially in the race for the deputy presidency.
The total number of votes secured by candidates Rafizi Ramli and Saifuddin Nasution Ismail apparently did not tally with the 147,000 PKR members who had taken part in the party polls.
PKR’s election committee has since dismissed the claims, explaining that not all voters had cast their ballots to elect the central leadership, with many deciding to elect leaders at the divisional level only.
