Last Thursday, Zuraida announced she was quitting Bersatu to join the newly formed Parti Bangsa Malaysia (PBM).
She had said she would meet Ismail soon to discuss her resignation from the Cabinet.
The Ampang MP arrived at KLIA to cheers from more than 150 PBM supporters, who chanted “Hidup Bangsa Malaysia”.
Zuraida said she would hold a press conference next week after meeting Ismail. She said no date had been set for the meeting.
Yesterday, Ismail said Zuraida had only quit Bersatu but did not resign from the Cabinet.
Zuraida joined Bersatu after being sacked from PKR in the wake of the Sheraton Move in 2020.
Previously, she said she decided to leave Bersatu and join PBM following feedback from her constituents, colleagues in the government, civil society representatives and those in the business sector.
