PETALING JAYA:
A man is believed to have fallen to his death during a fight over drug debts with gang members at an apartment in Jalan Masai Jaya 2, Johor Bahru, yesterday.

Johor police chief Kamarul Zaman Mamat said the 23-year-old victim was found dead on the ground floor after the incident at 12.45am, Bernama reported.

He said the fight was believed to have broken out on the second floor of the building between the victim and three local men.

Kamarul said police picked up three suspects in Desa Jaya and have remanded them for a week.

In a separate case, Kamarul said a 40-year-old private sector employee was the latest victim of a “love scam” and lost almost RM500,000 after being duped by a man on social media.

The single woman made 20 transactions from last year till yesterday to a foreigner before realising she had been cheated and lodged a police report.

“She was told to put her money into 15 different accounts,” he said.
