GEORGE TOWN:
A Hindu NGO is currently carrying out its own investigation into the death of an accounting student at Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) last Saturday.

Hindu Agamam Ani Malaysia, which is currently on a fact-finding mission in Kedah, said it was doing so on behalf of the family of R Vinosiny.

“We (Hindu Agamam) want to make sure that no stories are (left) untold,” the NGO’s president Arun Dorasamy told FMT.

“We want to make sure that everything is revealed.”

Arun said he had already spoken to several parties about the incident and promised to share his findings with the authorities.

Yesterday, Harian Metro reported that Kubang Pasu district police had yet to determine the cause of Vinosiny’s death and that they were still waiting for the autopsy report.

District police chief Rodzi Abu Hassan confirmed receiving a report on the death of the student. The case has been classified as sudden death.

He said the student was believed to have had a seizure but police were still waiting for the chemist’s report.

Yesterday, six officers from the Energy Commission and the police visited the campus’ hostel, where Vinosiny died, to conduct their investigations.
