PETALING JAYA:
Police are hunting for three men who robbed a pawnshop in Pasir Mas, Kelantan, of RM1 million in cash and various jewellery yesterday.

According to a Harian Metro report, three masked men tied up the owner and five employees before forcing open an iron door.

They filled a bag with the cash and jewellery before escaping in a car belonging to one of the victims.

Acting Kelantan police chief Zaki Harun said two of the masked men were believed to be armed with pistols and the third with a knife.

“We conducted roadblocks throughout Kelantan as well as blockades at the Malaysia-Thailand border,” said Zaki.

Zaki added that a team from the General Operations Force later found the robbers’ getaway vehicle, a Perodua Alza, in Kuala Jambu, Tumpat.

Police have urged members of the public with information on the robbery to reach out to the nearest police station.
