Cops tracking down drivers, owners of cars driven recklessly on highway

A video of the Audi and Toyota MPV zig-zagging on the North-South Expressway has gone viral.

Seremban police chief Nanda Maarof said the actions of the two drivers endanger other road users.

Police are tracking down the drivers or owners of two vehicles spotted being driven recklessly on the North-South Expressway on Sunday, endangering other road users.

In a statement, Seremban district police chief Nanda Maarof said the two vehicles — a grey Audi and a black Toyota Wish — were zig-zagging along the highway between Km269 and Km238 of the highway.

The vehicles were also seen using the emergency lane.

A video of the incident has gone viral.

“Their actions did not only endanger their lives but those of other road users,” Nanda said in a statement.

“We urge the owners or drivers of the vehicles to come to the Seremban district police headquarters or go to the nearest police station to assist in investigations.”

He added the case was being investigated under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
