13 Covid-19 deaths, 3,361 new cases

The death toll stands at 35,520.

One death was classified as brought-in-dead.
PETALING JAYA:
The health ministry reported 13 Covid-19 deaths yesterday, up from eight previously.

The death toll stands at 35,520.

According to its Github database, there were 3,361 new cases, compared with 2,478 a day earlier. They comprised 3,355 local cases and six imported cases.

One of the deaths was classified as brought-in-dead (BID).

Selangor and Kuala Lumpur recorded three deaths each, followed by Kedah and Perak (2 each) and Melaka, Pahang and Penang (1 each).

There were no deaths in the other states and in the federal territories.

As of midnight, there were 61,871 active cases, with 1,531 hospitalised. Of this, 101 were in intensive care units (ICU), with 63 requiring respiratory assistance.

There were also 9,484 recoveries.

The total number of Covid-19 cases stands at 4,436,912.
