
The death toll stands at 35,465.
According to the ministry’s GitHub database, there were 6,968 new cases, compared with 6,069 a day earlier. They comprised 6,936 local cases and 32 imported cases.
Eight deaths were classified as brought-in-dead (BID).
Penang recorded four deaths, followed by Kedah and Perak (3 each), Johor and Selangor (2 each) and Sabah and Kuala Lumpur (1 each).
There were no deaths in the other states and Labuan and Putrajaya.
As of midnight, there were 90,724 active cases, with 1,955 hospitalised. Of this, 97 were in intensive care units (ICU), with 643 requiring respiratory assistance.
There were also 8,267 recoveries.
The total number of Covid-19 cases stands at 4,409,202.
