PETALING JAYA: A secondary school in Rembau, Negeri Sembilan, will be closed for a week following a string of Covid-19 positive cases.
State executive councillor for health S Veerapan said the school, Sekolah Menengah Sains Rembau, was ordered to close from April 11 to 18 for sanitisation purposes, according to Sinar Harian.
“The cases were detected through RTK-Antigen (RTK-Ag) self-tests performed by the students.
“As of yesterday (Wednesday), 60 students from Forms 2 to 5 involving 38 boys and 22 girls had tested positive for Covid-19,” he said.
He added that the school had been identified as the cause of the Jalan Pilin cluster.
