
The death toll stands at 34,939.
According to the ministry’s GitHub database, there were 15,941 new cases, compared with 15,215 a day before. They comprised 15,773 local cases and 168 imported cases.
Of the 33 deaths, 11 were classified as brought-in-dead (BID) cases.
Johor and Kedah recorded six deaths each, following by Perak and Kuala Lumpur (4 each), Pahang and Sarawak (3 each), Penang and Selangor (2 each) and Kelantan, Negeri Sembilan and Sabah (1 each).
There were no deaths in Melaka, Perlis, Terengganu, Labuan and Putrajaya.
As of midnight, there were 206,591 active cases, with 4,664 hospitalised. Of this, 275 were in intensive care units (ICU), with 168 requiring respiratory assistance.
There were 21,186 recoveries reported.
The total number of Covid-19 cases stands at 4,183,359.
