
Chow, who is also Penang chief minister, said this had been the party’s stand on his predecessor from the beginning.
“I think until now, the position has remained the same.
“The party will not pursue the matter until after the trial is over,” the Penang DAP chief told reporters on the sidelines of an event here today.
When asked if DAP should set a good example by asking Lim to go on garden leave, the Penang chief minister said this matter was best left to the party leadership.
“The position remains the same. However, if circumstances change, then the party leadership can reconsider,” Chow said.
Recently, former Johor DAP chief Dr Boo Cheng Hau had called on Lim to quit his chairmanship over his corruption charges.
Lim has vigorously denied the charges, labelling them as politically motivated.
