JOHOR BAHRU: Johor Barisan Nasional (BN) chief Hasni Mohammad has called on Johoreans to come together following the coalition’s big win in the state elections.
“I call on all Johoreans, whether you voted for BN or otherwise, to come together to bring our state forward,” he said at a press conference at the coalition’s command centre.
“There is no party ideology or politician that is more important or bigger than Johor. Now it is time to build a more prosperous Johor,” said Hasni, who is expected to be nominated for another term as menteri besar.
Hasni thanked the BN machinery for helping to achieve the coalition’s decisive victory. According to unofficial results, BN has won 40 of the 56 seats in the state assembly. Hasni was re-elected in the Benut seat.
