
According to the ministry’s GitHub database, there were 32,800 new cases, comprising 32,259 local cases and 541 imported cases.
Of the 76 deaths, 21 were classified as brought-in-dead (BID) cases. The death toll now stands at 33,643.
Kedah recorded the most deaths with 15. This was followed by Selangor (14), Perak (10), Johor (8), Negeri Sembilan (5), Sabah (5), Kuala Lumpur (4), Penang (3), Perlis (3), Melaka (2), Pahang (2), Kelantan (2), Sarawak (2) and Terengganu (1).
There were no deaths in Labuan and Putrajaya.
As of midnight, there were 322,700 active cases, with 8,858 people hospitalised. Of this, 380 were in intensive care units (ICU), 231 of whom required respiratory assistance.
There were also 24,444 recoveries recorded.
The total number of Covid-19 cases recorded in Malaysia stands at 3,774,786.
