PETALING JAYA: A police officer with the Dang Wangi district police headquarters was found dead in a house in Kuala Lumpur today.
Sentul district police chief Beh Eng Lai said police responding to an emergency call found the 35-year-old officer dead from a gunshot wound to the head.
The incident happened at a house at Jalan Selingsing, Kuala Lumpur.
“The police were alerted about the incident around 3.30pm. A medical officer pronounced the victim dead at 3.59pm. The police forensic team from the Kuala Lumpur contingent headquarters was also dispatched to the scene,” Beh said in a statement.
The police have classified the case as a sudden death but are still investigating the incident.
